Wood Finishing Techniques

We don't routinely pre-stain or paint our products for the reasons stated below.
One concern is that we cannot ensure that any color paint or stain that
we would apply to your new rack would in fact, match your decor.
Obviously that would not be possible, since we're not at your location to match up a particular color.
Also, over the years we have found that the majority of our customers desire an unfinished rack,
so they can be sure to get the desired color/look they envisioned.
Note: Even if you don't plan on staining your new glass rack, (you like the natural look)...
It's still advisable to at least apply a coat or two of some type of clear sealer.

Applying a stain is not that difficult nor expensive for the end user
and usually only takes a minimal amount of effort to apply.
For example: A "Tavern Style Hanging Wine Glass Rack" would take only an ounce or two of stain
and a clean, lint-free cloth (like an old T-shirt), to do the job.
One can easily wipe on a stain, then wipe off the excess. However there are some tips and tricks
as well as safety precautions that one should consider before staining.
One such tip is to try a stain in a small inconspicuous place first.
This allows one to be able to match up a stain with an existing decor. (i.e. cabinets, countertops, trim, etc.)...
and get the desired end result they are looking for.
